About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Security Systems Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of electronic security systems, with a strong focus on Impro access control, Hikvision CCTV, Axis VMS, and physical perimeter control systems such as boom gates and turnstiles.

This role requires a hands-on individual with strong technical troubleshooting skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently on client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Configuration

  • Install, configure, maintain and commission:
    • Impro Access Control Systems (including controllers, readers, software)
    • Hikvision CCTV cameras and NVR systems
    • Axis Camera Management & VMS platforms
    • Boom gates, turnstiles, and related access peripherals
  • Verify proper system operation and integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and expansions.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all security systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues onsite.
  • Test system functionality and perform fault-finding on hardware networks, cabling, and software configurations.
  • Provide accurate service reports and documentation after every job.

Client Support & Service Delivery

  • Deliver professional customer service and technical support.
  • Provide user training on operating systems (access control, CCTV, VMS).

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain proper documentation on installations, configurations, and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Technical Competencies

Required

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Impro Access Control Systems (Essential)
    • Hikvision CCTV Systems (IP cameras, NVRs)
    • Axis Communications Products (Cameras & VMS)
    • Boom gates and turnstiles (installation, wiring, logic control)
    • Electric Fencing
  • Understanding of:
    • TCP/IP networking fundamentals
    • PoE, VLANs, and basic switching
    • Low-voltage and structured cabling
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Technical drawings
    • Network diagrams
    • Wiring schematics

Advantageous

  • Experience with server-based VMS platforms
  • Electrical or electronic engineering background
  • Certifications in Hikvision, Axis, and Impro

  • PSIRA registered (required)

We are seeking a Junior Investigator to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Rustenburg. This opportunity is ideal for an individual looking to gain practical experience in investigations within a structured and professional environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1–2 years’ relevant experience in investigations or security
  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
  • Valid driver’s licence with own reliable transport
  • Good observational and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
  • Good communication and report-writing skills
  • SAPS background advantageous
  • High level of professionalism
  • Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours when required

  • Taking statements and compiling accurate reports

We are currently recruiting a Junior Close Protection Officer (CPO) to be based at a client site in Centurion. This role is ideal for a disciplined and professional individual with a strong interest in personal protection and client safety.

Minimum Requirements

  • Valid firearm competency certificate (essential)
  • 1–2 years’ relevant close protection or security experience
  • Must have own reliable transport
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • High level of professionalism
  • Physically fit and well-presented
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays
  • Ability to travel out of province on occasion

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing close protection services to the client
  • Conducting risk assessments and maintaining situational awareness
  • Planning and executing secure movements and escorts
  • Monitoring surroundings and identifying potential threats
